I, Michael Barrett, am the owner/operator of PAC Tax Services.  I am an Enrolled Agent with a Master's in Accounting from Seton Hall University.  I have experience helping family owned businesses and high net-worth individuals with their tax preparation, accounting needs and/or tax problems.

    With the many alternatives available to file your own taxes, my focus has become tax resolution.  This is an area that is best addressed with a professional.  A professional knows what questions to ask. 

    When the IRS sends you a notice that you owe money as a result of an examination or review of a prior tax return, the first two questions I would ask are, "Are they correct?" and "Did the IRS follow all of the procedures in the Internal Revenue Manual?".  Do you know the answers to these questions?  Probably not.     

    Enrolled Agents are empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels -- examination, collection, and appeals -- of the Internal Revenue Service.
